W-MU boys downed by Mediapolis
Despite scoring 54 points, the Winfield-Mt. Union boys struggled against the Bulldogs in Mediapolis on Tuesday night when a fourth-quarter comeback effort fell short.
Mediapolis put 65 points on the board in the win. The teams started evenly, with the Bulldogs taking a 14-12 lead in the first quarter. A weak second quarter hurt the Wolves, who were down 33-15 at the half.

Despite scoring 54 points, the Winfield-Mt. Union boys struggled against the Bulldogs in Mediapolis on Tuesday night when a fourth-quarter comeback effort fell short.
Mediapolis put 65 points on the board in the win. The teams started evenly, with the Bulldogs taking a 14-12 lead in the first quarter. A weak second quarter hurt the Wolves, who were down 33-15 at the half.
W-MU was down 53-30 by the end of the third quarter, but mounted a comeback to outscore the Bulldogs 24-12 in the final quarter of play.
Their efforts fell short, however, as they dropped the 65-54 decision.
The Wolves play again Friday when they host Highland. The girls? game starts at 6 p.m.
