W-MU boys win at Van Buren
KEOSAUQUA ? The Winfield-Mt. Union boys? cross-country team claimed the top spot in the Class A race at the Van Buren Invitational on Tuesday, placing first of seven teams.
The Wolves were led by three top-10 finishers.
Johnathan Quinn placed third overall with a time of 18:35.
Gavin Bencze was fifth in 18:49, followed by Kollin Lintz in sixth with a time of 18:53.

KEOSAUQUA ? The Winfield-Mt. Union boys? cross-country team claimed the top spot in the Class A race at the Van Buren Invitational on Tuesday, placing first of seven teams.
The Wolves were led by three top-10 finishers.
Johnathan Quinn placed third overall with a time of 18:35.
Gavin Bencze was fifth in 18:49, followed by Kollin Lintz in sixth with a time of 18:53.
In 13th place was Levi Giese (18:56), and the final scorer for the Wolves was Tristan Klopfenstein, in 17th place with a time of 20:20.
Also running for the Wolves was Luke Beard (36th, 22:03), Levi Watson-Hewitt (40th, 23:11), Kane Harris (43rd, 23:48), Christian Fenton (48th, 24:42), Kyler Smith (54th, 26:39), Ross Vantiger (55th, 31:26), and Jeffrey Cooley (56th, 31:26).
As a team, the Wolves scored 44 points.
The host team finished as the runner-up with 51 points, followed by West Burlington/Notre Dame, 58 points. Next was Danville/New London, 115; Holy Trinity, 139; Harmony, 163; and Wayne, 171.
On the girls? side, W-MU did not have enough runners for a team score.
Grace Edwards finished in 13th place with a time of 19:56, and Steffanie Watson-Hewitt placed 22nd with a time of 21:36.
Next up for the Wolves is Thursday?s meet at Fairfield at 5 p.m.
