W-MU celebrates completion of new patio
On Friday, the Winfield-Mt. Union community celebrated the opening of the newest part of the athletic complex ? a patio. On Friday, the Winfield-Mt. Union community celebrated the opening of the newest part of the athletic complex ? a patio. Community members came out to the patio for lunch on Friday while W-MU superintendent Pat Coen, pictured at left, talked about the patio?s value for the community. Located behind the baseball field, near the practice football field, the patio will be used by W-MU athletic teams as well as Winfield?s town soccer teams and their fans for team meetings, meals and celebrations. According to Coen, it could also be used for outdoor classes. The brick patio has picnic tables and a grill available.
