W-MU cross-country team competes at IMS Early Bird
The Winfield-Mt. Union cross-country teams ran in the IMS Early Bird Invitational in Kalona on Tuesday, their first meet of the season.
The boys placed eighth overall out of 10 teams; the girls did not have enough runners for a team score.

The Winfield-Mt. Union cross-country teams ran in the IMS Early Bird Invitational in Kalona on Tuesday, their first meet of the season.
The boys placed eighth overall out of 10 teams; the girls did not have enough runners for a team score.
In the photo at left, W-MU?s Grace Edwards leads a pack of runners at the meet.
Edwards crossed the finish line first for the W-MU girls? team with a time of 19:09 in the 4K race, good enough for 29th place in a field of 67 runners.
Kollin Lintz led the boys team, finishing the 5K in 23rd place with a time of 19:17. There were 72 runners in the varsity boys? race.
The Wolves run again on Sept. 4 at the Van Buren Invite in Keosauqua.
