W-MU girls down Lone Tree

LONE TREE - The Winfield-Mt. Union girls had to come back from an early deficit, but the Lady Wolves pulled out a 46-38 conference win at Lone Tree on Tuesday night.
Lone Tree led 9-5, but W-MU eclipsed the Lions in the secodn quarter, taking a 15-14 lead into halftime. W-MU won the third quarter 15-11 and the fourth quarter 16-13.
Keetyn Townsley led W-MU with 12 points and three steals. Jobey Malone had eight points. Bradie Buffington had seven points, nine rebounds, five blocks and three steals. Ali Cockerham and Melina Oepping scored seven points each. Kyndal Townsley had two points, and Farrah Nelson scored one.
