W-MU girls downed by Mediapolis
MEDIAPOLIS ? The Winfield-Mt. Union girls? basketball team fell to Class 3A No. 10 Mediapolis in a Southeast Iowa Super Conference North Division game on Tuesday night.
The Bullettes put up an 18-point first quarter and had a huge second half to seal the win.

Cassie Kingery led the Wolves with 20 points, the only W-MU player to score in double figures.
As a team, the Wolves shot 11-for-34 (32.4 percent) from the field; they were 12-for-22 from the free throw line.
Alicia Escher had a team-high six rebounds and four steals; Anna Crawford dished three assists. Escher and Emily Mathews each blocked one shot.
The W-MU boys fell to the Bulldogs by a score of 68-37; no stats were available at press time.
The Wolves host Wapello on Friday. The JV girls start at 4:30 p.m., followed by varsity girls and boys.
