W-MU?s Brooke Jennings earns academic all-state honors
WINFIELD ? Winfield-Mt. Union?s Brooke Jennings has been named an Academic All-State volleyball player by the Iowa Girls Coaches Association (IGCA).
To be included on the academic all-state list, athletes must be seniors with an ACT Composite score of 27 or higher or an SAT score of 1200 or higher and a cumulative GPA of 3.75 or higher. The athlete?s coach must also fill out and submit a form to the IGCA.

WINFIELD ? Winfield-Mt. Union?s Brooke Jennings has been named an Academic All-State volleyball player by the Iowa Girls Coaches Association (IGCA).
To be included on the academic all-state list, athletes must be seniors with an ACT Composite score of 27 or higher or an SAT score of 1200 or higher and a cumulative GPA of 3.75 or higher. The athlete?s coach must also fill out and submit a form to the IGCA.
?She is a very intelligent and very determined young woman,? Coach Dave Pieart said of Jennings.
The complete list of academic all-state honorees will be included in the state volleyball tournament program and posted in the IGCA website.
Jennings is the only W-MU player in 15 years to earn the honor.
The setter has also been a big asset to the Wolves on the court ? she leads the team with 354 assists on the season.
Jennings is daughter of Jacqueline Jennings of Winfield and the late Brian Jennings.
She and the Wolves will be back on the court tonight (Friday) for their regional semifinal match against North Mahaska. The match will be played in Sigourney at 7 p.m.
