WACO basketball splits with Lone Tree
Stacy, Rich score 20 each to pace Warrior boys

WAYLAND — The WACO basketball teams hosted Lone Tree in Southeast Iowa Super Conference North Division action on Friday night. The Warrior boys pulled out a 66-44 win, while the girls were defeated 48-33.
The WACO boys led 20-12 after one quarter and 37-27 at halftime before turning it on in the third to put the Lions away.
Christian Stacy and Isaac Rich each scored 20 points in the game. Stacy also collected eight rebounds and six steals, both of which led the team.
Isaac Egli and Clayton miller each scored nine points. Hayden Shelman had three. Holden Hughes and Eli Calvin each scored two, and Joel Meyer finished with one.
The Warrior girls suffered a tough start, falling behind 15-4 after the first quarter. WACO was down 25-13 at halftime and 38-27 after three.
Madelyn Farmer scored nine points in the loss. Brenna Graber had eight. Courtney Waterhouse and Carlee Lunsford scored four apiece. Drew Graber, Morgan Leichty and Ava Wagler all had two.
