WACO basketball teams split games with Wapello
WAYLAND ? The WACO girls? basketball team couldn?t keep up with Wapello, dropping its conference game by a score of 48-31. The Warrior boys? team, however, got a win against the Indians, 52-33.
The girls had fallen behind Wapello, 16-7, by the end of the first quarter, and the Arrows cruised to a victory from there.
Aaliyah Brown scored 12 points and Michaela Kremer added 11 in the loss.

WAYLAND ? The WACO girls? basketball team couldn?t keep up with Wapello, dropping its conference game by a score of 48-31. The Warrior boys? team, however, got a win against the Indians, 52-33.
The girls had fallen behind Wapello, 16-7, by the end of the first quarter, and the Arrows cruised to a victory from there.

The WACO girls are now 6-11 on the season and 5-10 in the Southeast Iowa Super Conference North Division.
In the boys? game, WACO took a 12-7 lead into the second quarter and had an 18-14 lead at the half.
In the third quarter, the Warriors started pulling away for the win.
Justin Freyenberger led the team with 15 points and nine rebounds. Christain Roth scored 11 points and pulled down eight boards.
The boys are now 10-6 on the season (9-5 in the SEISC).
Both Warrior teams will play again on Friday, when they travel to Lone Tree for another conference matchup.
The Lone Tree girls have a record of 7-9 (6-9 in the SEISC), and are one spot ahead of the Warriors in the conference standings. The boys? team is 12-2 (11-2 in the SEISC).
The girls? game begins at 6 p.m., followed by the boys? game.
