WAYLAND - A big day from sophomore Simeon Reichenbach wasn't enough for the WACO boys basketball team on Tuesday night. Reichenbach put up 24 points in a 66-54 Southeast Iowa Super Conference South Division loss to Central Lee.
The WACO boys trailed 15-8 after the first quarter and 32-23 at halftime. WACO cut the lead all the way down to two possessions in the fourth quarter, but Central Lee had enough to pull away late.
Reichenbach scored his 24 points on 9-for-17 shooting. He was 1-for-1 from 3-point land and 5-for-9 from the line. He also led the team with 10 rebounds.
Isaac Oswald scored 10 points. Hunter Hughes scored six. Drew Diers and Reece Oswald scored five points apiece, and Taylor Sutton scored four.
WACO is now 1-5 overall and 0-4 in conference play. The Warriors will host West Burlington on Thursday night.
