WACO boys sprint past Cardinal

WAYLAND - It was all Warriors in the boys basketball game between WACO and Cardinal on Tuesday night. WACO shot out to a double-digit lead just five minutes into the contest and never let up, winning 73-39.
The Warriors scored over 20 points in both the first and second quarter. WACO lead 23-5 after the first period and 44-13 at the halftime break.
WACO doubled up Cardinal in the third quarter, 18-7. The Comets did play their best ball in the fourth, winning the final eight minutes 17-11.
WACO was led by a 23-point game from Drew Kissell. Kissell had a fantastic day shooting the ball, going 9-11 from the field and 3-3 from three-point land.
Pietro Vannini scored 17 points and dished out a team-leading seven assists in the win. Nik Coble had 13 points, seven rebounds and four steals, and Gabe Reichenbach had 13 points of his own, going 6-6 from the field.
Dalton Diers scored three points in the win. Elijah McGohan and Tyler Sutton each scored two points.
Cardinal was led by Drake Har, who scored 12 points to lead the team. Ben Clark put up 11 points. Landon Becker had eight. Dawson Lewis, Griffin Greiner, Jarrett Greiner and Jarrett Rae had two points each.
WACO moved to 3-0 overall and 2-0 in the SEISC South Division. They'll play at Central Lee on Friday, Dec. 13. Cardinal is 1-3 overall and 0-3 in conference play, and will head to West Burlington on Friday.
