The WACO boys? basketball team was victorious over Cardinal of Eldon Tuesday, Jan. 3, having a final score of 54-31.

The WACO boys? basketball team was victorious over Cardinal of Eldon Tuesday, Jan. 3, having a final score of 54-31.
WACO had the lead after the first quarter and kept it the entire game. The Warriors were ahead 19-7 after the first quarter and were up 32-12 at the half.
With both teams scoring 14 points in the third quarter, WACO kept their 20-point lead going into the fourth where they added eight more and Cardinal scored five more points.
Jacob Fried led the team with 14 points along with having six rebounds and one assist.
Matthew Leichty had a double-double in the game scoring 11 points and having 11 rebounds. He also had one steal.
Colton Horak had nine points and 12 rebounds along with eight assists and one steal. Beau Beckler scored nine points and had eight rebounds.
Conner Eichelberger had six points along with four rebounds, one assist and one steal. Nik Coble had four points, five rebounds and one assist and scoring once from the free-throw line was Jason Sammons who also had one rebound in the game.
WACO is 1-8 and play at home tonight against Central Lee. The girls? game begins at 6 p.m. followed by the boys taking the court.
