WACO defeats Lone Tree in regional game

?We came out flat in game one and didn?t play with much energy,? Head Coach Tom Ferguson said. ?Before game two, I just (reminded) them that this was the seniors? last chance to get a win on the home floor. When they got back out there, the offense got going, led by Michaela Kremer.?
Kremer was the kill leader for the Warriors with nine, followed by Rosemary Skriver with six. Mariah Jepson had three, and Ashley Sutton and Ashlyn Hammen had two kills each. Kremer registered seven blocks in the match, and Skriver added six. Hammen and Erika Leichty had one apiece.
Hammen topped the team in assists with 15. Cierra Vradenberg had 16 digs, followed by Jepson with eight.
Hammen went 21-of-21 in serves; Kremer was 12-of-12 and Jepson was 10-of-10. Skriver went 14-of-15. Kremer served five aces, followed by Skriver, 4; Hammen, 3; and Jepson and Sutton with one each.
WACO will travel to New London on Tuesday to play the Tigers in the regional quarterfinal at 7 p.m.
