WAYLAND — It’s hard to find any team as hot as WACO football. The Warriors dominated once again Friday, laying a 42-6 homecoming beating on Iowa Valley.
WACO scored the first 16 points of the game and led 16-6 after the first quarter. The Warriors scored four times in the second half and shut out Iowa Valley to close the game on a 26-0 run.
Isaac Oswald completed just four passes on the day, but three went for touchdowns. He finished with 109 yards through the air including scores to Jonah Clark, Ty Egli and Drew Diers.
Simeon Reichenbach ran for 150 yards and a touchdown in the win. Oswald ran for a 70-yard score, and John Rice scored from 15-yards out.
The Warriors now sit at 5-0 with a road game at New London next Friday. WACO is the only undefeated team left in the district after New London lost to English Valleys over the weekend.
