WACO head coach Tom Ferguson said his team ran up against some tough competition Thursday.
?Mediapolis is an elite team, and IMS is consistent, too,? he said. ?Central Lee had a couple of big hitters.?
Ferguson said he was disappointed the Warriors didn?t advance to the superconference finals, but noted that there were some bright spots in Thursday?s matches.
?We?ve been working on getting the ball to our outsider hitters such as Rosemary Skriver and Halie Fankhauser,? he said. ?We?ve gotten them more opportunities to swing at the ball, and that has led to more kills. Our serving improved last night, and our blocking did, too, thanks to Kalicia Miller and Hannah Black.?
