The WACO Warriors have had a tough-luck type of season. WACO has a 3-4 record, but those four losses are all by less than one score.
Friday's win was by 10 points as was the initial win of the season. WACO has a seven-point win over Iowa Valley.
WACO's victories are by a total of 27 points while its four losses total 21 poits.
The Warriors came out on the plus side of a close game this past Friday, defeating English Valleys.
'I thought we played well on Friday,” WACO head coach Chad Edeker said. 'Nik Coble did a nice job of spreading the ball to several receivers with Robert Frazer having eight catches for 108 yards and Jaden Williams leading us with 109 yards on four catches. Drew Kissell and Will Edeker had catches.”
All that was accomplished on a tough night to throw the football with the colder weather and windy conditions.
'Defensively, we played better than we have,” Edeker said. 'We did a nice job of limiting big plays and making EV drive the ball. They came out in several new formations and plays and I thought we adjusted really well.”
