WACO rolls over Van Buren on Homecoming
WACO scored 22 first-quarter points and rolled to a 43-6 win over Van Buren in Friday?s Homecoming game.
Junior Cey Saeugling ran for a 6-yard touchdown in the first quarter, and he also recovered a fumble in the end zone for a touchdown. Junior Isaac Black also caught a 24-yard touchdown pass from senior Ben Fear in the first quarter.

WACO scored 22 first-quarter points and rolled to a 43-6 win over Van Buren in Friday?s Homecoming game.
Junior Cey Saeugling ran for a 6-yard touchdown in the first quarter, and he also recovered a fumble in the end zone for a touchdown. Junior Isaac Black also caught a 24-yard touchdown pass from senior Ben Fear in the first quarter.
Senior Skyler Miller tackled Van Buren?s Vaughn Helling in the end zone for a safety early in the second quarter. Sophomore Tucker Janecek ran for a 4-yard touchdown, and sophomore Brett Hesseltine returned a punt 67 yards for a score to give WACO (3-1, 1-1 Class A District 5) a 36-0 halftime lead.
Junior Dylon Carlson ran for a 19-yard touchdown in the third quarter for WACO. WACO senior Tyler Ayers also rushed for 134 yards on 13 carries.
WACO?s defense, led by Miller?s 10 tackles, limited Van Buren (0-4, 0-2 District 5) to just 86 total yards.
