WACO sticks at 2 in new football rankings

After two official weeks and three games for the WACO football team, everything is coming up roses.

The Warriors stayed in the Top-2 in The Gazette’s Class 8-Player football rankings, locking in at the No. 2 spot after a 60-14 beating of HLV.

Winfield-Mount Union is out of the Class 8-Player’s Top-10. The Wolves, short-handed with star Cam Buffington playing limited minutes, were unable to knock off Iowa Valley, falling 68-52.

After a thrilling 23-20 win over Sigourney-Keota, Mid-Prairie has now jumped into the receiving votes category. The Golden Hawks are 2-0 on the year.
