WAYLAND — Thanks to his performance on the field, WACO’s Jonah Clark will now play football at the collegiate level.
The senior made his college decision last week, signing with Loras College in Dubuque.
Clark was a force to reckoned with on the football field with past season on both sides of the ball.
On the defensive side of the ball, Clark tallied 43 total tackles, 26 of which were solo. He had 9.5 tackles for a loss and four sacks. He recovered one fumble and also picked off one pass.
On offense, Clark was always a go to option. He caught a total of 11 passes for 155 yards and found the end zone three times. He averaged 14.1 yards per reception.
On the rushing side of things, Clark carried the ball 12 times for 88 yards on 7.3 yards per carry and two touchdowns.
Along with football, Clark is also stellar on the wrestling mat, finishing as the state runner-up with past season. He is also a state qualifier in shot put.
Clark will be joining a Duhawks program that went 4-6 last season.
