WAYLAND — WACO’s McKenzie Vradenburg made her college decision this week and the Warrior senior will be heading to Truman State University to compete on both the Bulldogs Indoor and Outdoor Track and Field teams.
She plans to major in criminal justice.
At WACO, Vradenburg participated in both track and field and cross-country.
On the oval, Vradenburg has left a footprint for the Warriors. She holds the school record in the 200-meter dash with a time of 28.55, a time that shattered her previous record of 29.70 from the year prior.
With the Warriors hosting the state qualifying meet on Thursday, which will be completed by the release of this article, Vradenburg will look to get back to the state tournament.
Last year she competed in two events at the state meet. She was apart of the Warriors 4x100 squad that finished 23rd and a 4x200 meter relay team that placed 22nd.
Vradenburg will be joining a team that showed major improvements this season. The Bulldogs finished third in the Great Lakes Valley Conference Championships. It was their highest finish since joining the conference in 2014.
