WAYLAND — WACO senior Chase Waterhouse has signed his national letter of intent to play football for the University of Northern Iowa.
Waterhouse will be joining the Panther program as a preferred walk-on next fall.
For the Warriors, Waterhouse was an integral piece of a stout defense. He finished this past season with 35 total tackles, 24 of which were solo. He also notched a team second best three sacks and 11 tackles for a loss.
Through the years, Waterhouse has been a part of the Warrior’s quarterfinal team in 2021, the state runner-up squad in 2022 and the second round qualifier in 2023.
Along with football, Waterhouse participates in basketball and track. He’s also student body president, a member of National Honor Society and is apart of the Warrior’s band and choir.
At UNI, Waterhouse will be studying business and law.
