VICTOR - It was so close, just like an earlier game this season.
Keota lost its postseason game at HLV Tuesday 3-2 after the two teams had played a 2-0 game earlier in the year, also won by the Warriors.
'Overall, we played a great game and they snuck away,” Keota head coach Dakota McCombs said.
HLV scored a run in each of the bottom of the second and third innings but Keota notched a score in each of the top of the fifth and sixth innings to tie it at 2-2. The home team scored a run in the bottom of the seventh inning for the win.
'Colten Clarahan pitched really well and we knew if we could limit errors we would end up with a chance to win at the end of the game,” McCombs said. 'We had a few base running errors that cost us from kids trying to make something happen and being overly aggressive.”
Keota ends its season at 7-8 while HLV advances with a 14-0 mark.
Sam Sieren gets a double for Keota in a game at Highland earlier this season. Keota lost 3-2 to HLV Tuesday in the postseason to end the year. (File)
