WASA to hold tryouts for youth softball teams
The Washington Area Softball Association (WASA) will be holding tryouts for girls ages 10-and-under through 14 at the Lincoln Elementary softball field on Sunday, Oct. 7.

The Washington Area Softball Association (WASA) will be holding tryouts for girls ages 10-and-under through 14 at the Lincoln Elementary softball field on Sunday, Oct. 7.
Girls should come appropriately dressed with a ball glove and tennis shoes or cleats. Girls will proceed through various stations where they will be scored for throwing strength and accuracy, fielding, hitting, speed and overall softball mechanics.
Girls age 10 and under will try out from 1-3 p.m. Girls age 12 and under will try out from 3-4:30 p.m. And girls age 14 and under will try out from 4:30-6 p.m. The age group is based on the girl?s age on Jan. 1, 2013.
