Washington 7th grade girls basketball recap

The Washington seventh grade girls basketball team played two games last week, one at Ottumwa Tuesday, Feb. 14, and the other at home against Aldo-Leopold.

In the A game at Ottumwa, the girls won 25-18.

Kelsey Pacha scored 12 points, had eight rebounds and two steals.

Rylee Fishback scored six points and had six rebounds. Grace Schiebel scored three points and had five rebounds and one steal.

Greta Rothe had two points as did Sami Smith who also had one rebound. Ava Turner had seven rebounds and one steal. Elyse Hunt had five rebounds and one steal.

Chloe Staley had three rebounds. Elly Leyden had one steal. Jenna Messer had two rebounds in the game.

A Game

In the B game, Washington lost by one point, 11-12.

Staley scored four points, had two rebounds and two steals.

Lindsey Lillie had two points along with one rebound and two steals. Fishback had two points and two rebounds.

Leyden scored one point and had two steals. Hailey Flynn had one point, one rebound and three steals. Sami Smith had one point and one rebound.

Emma Zahs, Lexi Dickerson and Rikiya Dickerson each had one rebound in the game.

B Game

Washington won both games against Aldo Leopold Thursday, Feb. 16.

In the A game, Washington won 26-6 and the final score was 11-4 Washington in the B game.

Pacha led the team with nine points along with having two rebounds and three steals.

Fishback had six points, seven rebounds and four steals. Schiebel had four points, one rebound and one steal.

Rothe scored two points and had two rebounds and six steals.

Both Smith and Messer scored two points and Leyden had one point and three steals.

Turner had one rebound and one steal. Both Staley and Hunt had two rebounds and one steal. Kyleigh Dolan had two steals and Zahs had one.

In the B game, Zahs had three points and one rebound. Brianna Williams had two points and one rebound.

Rikiya Dickerson had two points and two rebounds. Fishback had two points and two rebounds. Lillie scored two points.

Staley had four rebounds and two steals. Ausha Clark had two steals and both Messer and Lexi Dickerson had one rebound each.
