Washington 8th grade boys basketball season ends with wins
The Washington eighth-grade boys basketball traveled at Aldo Leopold Thursday, Feb. 16, with the A team losing 38-35 and the B team ending the night with a 32-16 win.
In the A game, Trashaun Willis led the scoring with 19 points. He also had 10 rebounds.
Wilx Witthoft had six points and two rebounds. Kael Adam had four points and three rebounds.

The Washington eighth-grade boys basketball traveled at Aldo Leopold Thursday, Feb. 16, with the A team losing 38-35 and the B team ending the night with a 32-16 win.
In the A game, Trashaun Willis led the scoring with 19 points. He also had 10 rebounds.
Wilx Witthoft had six points and two rebounds. Kael Adam had four points and three rebounds.
Thomas Bias had four points and one rebound. Zac Stout had two points and two rebounds while Wyatt Stout had one rebound in the game.
For the B team, Spencer Sotelo scored 14 points and had four rebounds. Reece Mayer had six points and one rebound.
Zayne Laws scored four points and had three rebounds. Roy Carter also scored four points and had two rebounds. Quinn Alexander had three points and three rebounds and Jack Strabala had one point and three rebounds.
Playing in front of their hometown fans Friday, Feb. 24, the A team ended the night with a 36-33 score.
Willis was the top scorer with 15 points. He had 10 rebounds in the game as well. Both Wyatt Stout and Noah Suchan scored seven points, had two rebounds and one steal. Witthoft had five points and two rebounds. Zac Stout had two points and five rebounds. Adam had two rebounds and one steal. Sotelo had one rebound in the game.
In the B game, the team won 29-21 with Alexander having 10 points to lead the scoring. He also had one rebound and two steals.
Carter scored five points and had one rebound. Laws had five points, six rebounds and two steals.
Strabala had two points, one rebound and two steals. Jimmy Cardosa scored two points and had two rebounds and Luciano Marcelino scored two points.
The C team won 21-15 with Bryan Martin as the top scorer with 10 points and two rebounds. Marcelino had five points and four rebounds in the game. Chase Messamaker scored three points and had two rebounds.
Cardosa had two points and one rebound and Carter had one point and four rebounds.
The A team ends their season with a 7-5 record. The B team?s record ends with a record of 8-3-1 while the C team?s record is 7-2.
Coach Mark Berhow says, ?The packed gym of enthusiastic fans was a great way to finish the season.
?We, as coaches, are very proud of our players and how hard they worked and improved. We wish them the best as they finish their middle-school career and transition into high school.?
