Washington 8th grade boys basketball teams win two of three against Keokuk
The Washington eighth-grade boys basketball team traveled to Keokuk Thursday, Jan. 26, with two of the three teams getting wins. The A team won their game 43-37 and the C team won 40-5, while the B team lost their game 25-28.
Trashaun Willis led the A team in scoring with 15 points, and had 14 rebounds as well. Noah Suchan scored 11 points in the game.

The Washington eighth-grade boys basketball team traveled to Keokuk Thursday, Jan. 26, with two of the three teams getting wins. The A team won their game 43-37 and the C team won 40-5, while the B team lost their game 25-28.
Trashaun Willis led the A team in scoring with 15 points, and had 14 rebounds as well. Noah Suchan scored 11 points in the game.
Kael Adam had seven points, two rebounds and one steal. Thomas Bias had six points and two rebounds.
Zac Stout had four points and four rebounds and Wyatt Stout had one rebound in the game.
Spencer Sotello was the top scorer for the B team with nine points, one rebound and one steal. Reece Mayer had four points as did Roy Carter who also had three rebounds.
Keaton Zear had three points and one rebound. Jack Strabala scored two points and had one rebound.
Jimmy Cardosa also scored two points in the game. Quinn Alexander had one point, eight rebounds and three steals.
Leading the C team in scoring was Bryan Martin with eight points and also had four points and one steal.
Roy Carter had seven points and seven rebounds. Luciano Marcelino scored seven points as well and had three rebounds and two steals.
Daniel Marcelino had six points, one rebound and four steals and Chase Messamaker had five points, five rebounds and two steals.
The A and B teams both have a 3-1 record while the C team is sitting at 2-1 for the season.
