Washington and WACO girls track teams at Falcon Relays

The Washington and WACO girls track teams made the trek to West Burlington Tuesday, March 28, to take part in the Falcon Relays.

Washington ended the day in fourth place out of 13 schools and WACO came in 11th.

There were many top finishers for both schools.

Hannah Anderson came in first place in the long jump going 17 feet 5 1/4 inches. She also took first in the 100-meter dash having a time of 13.06.

Claire Horak ran the 800-meter run in 2:35.62 to take first place.

The 4x200-meter relay team of Leah Marek, Isabel Bailey, Jenah Greiner and Anderson, came in first place with a time of 1:51.95.

Makenzi Marek, Victoria Barber, Leah Marek and Bailey finished the 800 sprint medley in first place with a time of 2:03.11.

Top finishers for WACO were Mayme Hihn in the discus with a distance of 89 feet 1 1/2 inches.

Kasey Sutton took first in the 100-meter hurdles ending in 18.01 followed by Kiana Miller in second with a time of 18.23.

Both teams next take to the track at Mediapolis Thursday, March 30, starting at 4:30 p.m.
