Washington archers shoot at Solon
The Washington archery teams went to Solon on Saturday, and Lincoln Elementary provided a pair of the highlights, with a couple of first-place finishes.
As a team, Lincoln picked up a first-place finish at the tournament, posting a team score of 2,730 and was led by Allison Rees, who picked up a first-place finish among elementary girls.
Rees notched 259 points to take the crown at the event.

The Washington archery teams went to Solon on Saturday, and Lincoln Elementary provided a pair of the highlights, with a couple of first-place finishes.
As a team, Lincoln picked up a first-place finish at the tournament, posting a team score of 2,730 and was led by Allison Rees, who picked up a first-place finish among elementary girls.
Rees notched 259 points to take the crown at the event.
Curtis Stender picked up 267 points to finish in second place among all elementary boys, while Trenton Heisdorffer recorded 247 points to take sixth.
Makynna Morgan placed fifth among all elementary girls with a 236.
The Washington Middle School finished in third place at the event, posting a team total of 3,033, with Samantha Mellinger leading the charge with a 276 and seventh-place finish among middle school girls.
Lane Frana placed 10th in the boys? competition with a 267, while Myle Jones finished in 15th with a 264.
The high school team finished in fifth place at the competition, notching a score of 3,186, led by a pair of fourth-place finishers.
John Sands shot a 284 to take fourth place among high school boys, while Jade Wells picked up a 278 to take fourth among high school girls.
Joseph Dalziel recorded a 277 to take 12th among the boys, while Kylee Porter?s 276 was good for eighth among all high school girls.
The archery teams will resume action at a home shoot on Sunday at the high school.
