Washington bowlers take second at conference meet
The Washington bowling team wrapped up the regular season strong on Saturday.

The Washington bowling team wrapped up the regular season strong on Saturday.
Hosting the four-team conference tournament, the Demon boys? team rolled their way to a second place finish, with one member of their team picking up a first-team All Conference selection.
Collin Zear led the way with a series of 369 (185, 184) in the individual rounds to earn the first-team honors, taking third place overall at the meet, behind Keokuk?s Ethan Rhea (407) and Fairfield?s Brayden Miller
(403).
Two more Demons earned second-team all Conference honors, with Riley Lambert finishing in 10th place, rolling a 352 (182, 170) and Bailey Curtis rolling a 338 (150, 188) to finish in 11th place overall.
Kylan Gillette finished the day with a 328 series (152, 176), Kolton Segebart notched a 314 (140, 174) and Tucker Renoux had a 313 (135, 178) to round out the scoring in the individual rounds for Washington.
As a team, the Demons rolled an 846 in the Baker games, as they narrowly edged out Fairfield 2,547 to 2, 543 in the final totals.
Keokuk won the conference meet with a final score of 2,758.
On the girls? side of the conference meet, Washington had one competitor notch second-team All Conference honors, with AnnaMarie Walter leading the way with a 329 (148, 181).
The rest of the team was made up of Cheyenne Gillette?s 265 (137, 128) and Trista Kelly?s 212 (109, 103).
Mt. Pleasant won the team competition, and had the top two individuals in the meet, with Emma Overton claiming the crown.
