Washington bowling teams fall to Fairfield
The Washington bowling teams traveled to Fairfield Saturday, Jan. 14, where both teams lost the dual to their hosts. The Fairfield boys won 2,949 to 2,756 and the girls won 2,538 to 1,890.
For the boys, Kylan Gillette led the team with a 223 and 209 for a 432 in the individual rounds. He was followed by Bailey Curtis with a 373 (183 and 190).

Maclain Leyden with a 358 (208 and 150), Tucker Renoux with a 355 (178 and 177), Collin Zear with a 343 (164 and 179) and Kolton Segebart had a 181 and 140 for a 321 total.
In the Baker games, Washington lost by one pin, 895 to 896.
Taylor Northup took the lead for the girls? team having a total of 169 in the first game and a 139 in the second for a 308 total.
Trista Kelly had a 267 (149, 118), Dawsen Schluetter followed with a 263 (107, 156), Taylor Janecek rolled a 232 (108, 124), Bailey Brown had a 106 and 94 en route to a 200 and Rylie Swart had a 108 and 87 for a total of 195.
The girls had a total of 620 in the Baker games, while Fairfield rolled an 805.
Both teams will bowl tomorrow, Jan. 17, in Keokuk, in a makeup match from Dec. 17, beginning at 2 p.m.
