Washington bowling teams lose to Fairfield at L-M
The Washington bowling teams were host to Fairfield Saturday, Feb. 4, where both teams fell to their guests.
The boys lost by four pins, 2,731 to 2,735 while the girls had a final score of 1,967 to Fairfield?s 2,256.
Bailey Curtis led the boys team with a 215 and 210 for a 425 in the individual rounds.

The boys lost by four pins, 2,731 to 2,735 while the girls had a final score of 1,967 to Fairfield?s 2,256.
Bailey Curtis led the boys team with a 215 and 210 for a 425 in the individual rounds.
Tucker Renoux followed with a 365 (175, 190), Kylan Gillette rolled a 350 (162, 188), Collin Zear had a 347 (190, 157), Maclain Leyden ended the day with a 178 and 167 for a 345 total and Kolton Segebart had a 151 and 189 for a 340.
In the Baker games, Washington lost with an 899 to Fairfield?s 916.
Dawsen Schluetter took the lead for the girls team having a total of 138 in the first game and a 139 in the second for a 277 total.
Rylie Swart followed with a 276 (115, 161), Bailey Brown rolled a 129 and 127 for a 256, Trista Kelly had a 254 (126, 128), Taylor Janecek had a 136 and 104 for a 240 and Taylor Northup rolled a 206 total (103, 103).
The girls had a total of 664 in the Baker games, falling behind Fairfield, who rolled a 684.
The teams traveled to Letts Monday, Feb. 6, for a meet against Louisa-Muscatine, which ended in a loss for both Washington teams.
The boys fell 2,493 to 2,836 and the girls lost 1,955 to 2,800.
Collin Zear led the boys team scoring a 467 (212, 255). Tucker Renoux followed with a 170 and 157 for a 327.
Kylan Gillette rolled a 160 and 154 for a 314. Kolton Segebart had a 314 (160, 154). Bailey Curtis had a 288 total (136, 152) and Drake Schluetter had a total of 262 (132, 130).
L-M had a 981 in the Baker games while Washington rolled a 793.
For the girls, Trista Kelly led the team with a 294 (158, 136). Taylor Janecek had a 248 total (114, 134).
Rylie Swart rolled a 247 (113, 134), Taylor Northup had a 239 (103, 136). Dawsen Schluetter had a 119 and 104 for a total of 223.
In the Baker games, Washington rolled a 704 to L-M?s 915.
The next meet for both teams is at Mt. Pleasant Saturday, Feb. 11, beginning at 1 p.m.
