Washington boys? basketball team loses season opener
The Washington boys? basketball team lost at Muscatine Tuesday, Dec. 6, by a score of 33-60. The Demons would fall behind early in the first as they wouldn?t get a bucket until three minutes in the game after Muscatine had scored eight. Washington?s next score would come with less than two minutes left but after Muscatine would add another 11 to make the score 19-4 after one quarter.

The Washington boys? basketball team lost at Muscatine Tuesday, Dec. 6, by a score of 33-60. The Demons would fall behind early in the first as they wouldn?t get a bucket until three minutes in the game after Muscatine had scored eight. Washington?s next score would come with less than two minutes left but after Muscatine would add another 11 to make the score 19-4 after one quarter.
Muscatine would add another eight before Washington would score again, but Muscatine would put up another five before the Demons would score four more however, Muscatine would add four in the last two minutes of the quarter to be ahead 36-12 at the half.
Muscatine would go up three in the first three minutes of the third quarter before Washington would have a chance to add four more. Muscatine would dominate the latter portion of the third as they would put up another 17 points to Washington?s five to put the score 56-23 going into the final frame. Washington would only add eight in the fourth to Muscatine?s four to end the game in Muscatine?s favor.
The boys will next play at Fairfield Friday, Dec. 9.
