Washington boys bowling wins at Sigourney

SIGOURNEY — The Washington bowling teams traveled west on Thursday to compete in a three-team meet at Sigourney. Washington, Sigourney and West Burlington all went at it.
The Demon boys had a great day, winning the meet with a score of 2,468. The girls rolled a 739 for third.
The Demon boys won their meet by 152 pins over Sigourney, and a lot of that ground was earned by senior Ethan Zieglowsky.
Zieglowsky won the individual race by over 100 pins, totaling out at 523. That score put him in a whole different realm than second place Brock Alderson of Sigourney, who rolled a 396.
Caleb Zieglowsky finished third overall individually with a 393. Quentin Howard rolled 257. Quentin Howard rolled a 257, and Ismat Abdurahimov finished at 249.
The Demon girls were led by senior Leigha Heisdorffer, who finished fifth overall with a 209. She was the only Demon girl above 200.
Emma Chenoweth rolled a 178 for ninth place, giving Washington two in the Top-10.
Emma Loeffler finished at 128. She was the only other Washington girl competing, giving the Demons just three bowlers total.
