Washington boys golf wins in Fort Madison
Demons victorious in 2nd-straight SEC meet

FORT MADISON — For the second-straight meet, the Washington boys golf team reigned in a Southeast Conference golf match, this time in Fort Madison on Thursday.
The Demons ended the day at 157, beating out Fairfield’s 167 for first place. Fort Madison took third, at 181. Mt. Pleasant was fourth, at 188, and Keokuk took fifth, at 206.
Washington’s Roman Roth won medalist honors, shooting 36 on the day. Rajan Roth and Luke Beenblossom were the next two Demons down, shooting 60 each.
Washington’s Drew Conrad scored for the Demons, shooting a 41. Teague Mayer ended at 44, and Isaac Vetter shot 46.
Fairfield’s Dave Eisner led his team with a 40 on the day. Max Weaton and Nile Christensen each shot 41.
Sam Weaton and Austin Lisk each shot 45 for Fairfield. Landon Nodurft rounded out the team’s scores with 52.
Mt. Pleasant was paced by Nate Dismang, who finished the day at 42. Nick Matheney shot 46, and Reece Coffman ended at 47.
Both Ben Meador and Grant Willham shot 53 for the Pantehrs. Izaac Zihlman finished the meet at 63.
Washington and Fairfield have now went one-two in both SEC meets. Mt. Pleasant has taken a third and a fourth.
The SEC boys golf teams will go at it again on Monday when the conference meets up in Keokuk.
