Demons edge Panthers for 3rd-straight win

KEOKUK — The Washington boys golf team had to work for their third win in three Southeast Conference regular season meets on Monday in Keokuk, but the Demons pulled out another win.
Washington shot 160 to edge out second-place Mt. Pleasant by four strokes. The Panthers finished at 164. Fort Madison shot 174. Fairfield shot 177, and Keokuk finished at 188.
Washington had two players finish in the Top-4, as Carson Brown tied for second, with a 38, and Drew Conrad finished fourth, at 39.
Rajan Roth shot a 41 for the Demons. Cole Vetter shot a 42. Kaleb Orr finished at 43, and Conner Leyden ended his round at 48.
Mt. Pleasant had two players under 40, as both Brody Engle and Merrick Lamm shot 39. Logan Calhoun finished at 42. Sam Frary shot 44, and both Alek Barton and J.C. Sitar finished at 45.
Fairfield’s Drew Myers tied with Brown for second, shooting a 38. Archer Kreuter ended at 42. Xavier Kessel finished at 47. Voss Richardson shot a 50. Brice Boatright finished at 55, and Luke Thornton shot 56.
