Washington boys XC win’s at North Linn
Demon girls finish fourth in the invitational

TROY MILLS — Washington boys and girls cross-country put together a stellar performance on Saturday at North Linn’s Lynx Invitational.
The Washington boys ended the day as the top team in the invitational, while the Demon girls finished fourth overall.
The boys finished with a low of 64 points and the girls ended with 114.
Thirteen total teams competed on the boys’ side, while 17 ran on the girls’.
On the girls’ side, Solon took the top spot with 45 points, followed by Marion (81) and Tipton (86).
Leading the Demon boys was yet again Micah Rees. Rees was the first runner to cross the tape, winning with a time of 15:28.7.
Tyler Alderton placed ninth in 16:39.5. Andrew Rees followed right behind Alderton with a 10th overall finish in 16:45.5.
Lane Schrock clocked 17:07.6 for 14th. Kael Malichky ran 17:33.4 for 30th. Sawyer Tschantz was 36th in 17:43.7 and Andrew Shepherd ended in 49th with a time of 18:10.3.
For the Washington girls, Iris Dahl dashed to a third overall finish after running 19:25.6.
Quincy Griffis ran 20:49.3 for 17th. Alyvia Anderson was 22nd in 21:01.9.
Angeline Anderson posted a time of 21:22.5 for 34th. Kendall Hinrichsen was 38th in 21:32.5.
Rounding out the Demons was Abigail Kleese in 42nd with a time of 21:53.0 and Emma Horak in 53rd after running 22:28.5.
