Washington (1-5, 0-2 Southeast Conference) had a tough game offensively, shooting just 34 percent from the field and turning the ball over 19 times.
?I thought our defense played pretty well to hold them to 44 points,? Smeins said. ?It was probably their season low. We just couldn?t do anything on the offensive end.?
Senior Kyle Roder scored 16 points to lead the Demons. Senior Justin Hoffman added 13 points and six rebounds.
