Demons girls place second, boys fifth in Anamosa Meet

ANAMOSA -- Washington boys and girls cross country kick started its season on Saturday with a trip to Anamosa.
It was a really solid competition for both Demon squads as the girls placed second and the boys fifth.
The Washington girls finished with 60 points for the runner-up spot. Solon took the title with a score of 55.
On the boys’ side, 103 points slotted the Demons in the fifth position.
Iris Dahl led the Demon girls with a time of 21:15.00. Lauren Horak ran a 22:21.60, followed by Kendall Hinrichsen with a 22:38.50. Quincy Griffis clocked a 23:18.10. Emma Horak posted a 23:50.00, Alyvia Anderson a 24:11.10, Angeline Anderson a 24:38.60 and Isabella Lujan a 24:38.60.
Tyler Alderton led the boys with a time of 18:01.20. Andrew Rees crossed in 18:44.40, Ethan Hotchkiss had 19:47.60, Parker Tschantz ended with a 20:20.50, Jace Sanders had a 20:49.80, Teag Miller a 20:54.00, Fletcher Brower a 21:54.50 and Ivan Rangel a 21:57.90.
