WASHINGTON — While the Washington softball team traveled to Oskaloosa for a postseason game, the Oskaloosa baseball team traveled to Washington for a regular season game Thursday.
Oskaloosa won both, defeating the Demons in softball 8-3 and in baseball 7-1.
Washington went to Clear Creek-Amana with its record at 15-15 for a game Friday but Mother Nature only allowed an inning to be played.
Alex Christ pitched a complete game for Oskaloosa giving up five hits, a walk, an unearned run with three strikeouts.
The Demons scored a run in the sixth inning. Osky used a four-run first inning and didn’t look back with a run in the third and two more in sixth.
Washington now has an overall record of 15-11. It was Oskaloosa’s seventh win in 28 games but third consecutive.
