Washington Demons wrestling team wins first round in Des Moines, lose second round; finish day in fourth
DES MOINES - The Washington Demons wrestling team was victorious in the first round of the State duals meet Wednesday, Feb. 15, defeating Atlantic/CAM 35-31. The team faced No. 2 ranked Solon Spartans in the Wells Fargo Arena at 1 p.m. today, and lost 12-61.

DES MOINES - The Washington Demons wrestling team was victorious in the first round of the State duals meet Wednesday, Feb. 15, defeating Atlantic/CAM 35-31. The team faced No. 2 ranked Solon Spartans in the Wells Fargo Arena at 1 p.m. today, and lost 12-61.
The team will face Assumption for the chance at third place starting at 6:30 p.m. tonight, while Solon will challenge New Hampton for the chance at the state title.
The Washington Demons lost their match to Davenport Assumption by a final score of 25-40, earning them fourth place in Class 2A.
