Washington eighth-graders fall short at Aldo Leopold
Washington limited Aldo Leopold to just three points in the fourth quarter of Thursday?s eighth-grade girls? basketball game in Burlington, but the host squad held off the Demons for a 25-23 win.

Washington limited Aldo Leopold to just three points in the fourth quarter of Thursday?s eighth-grade girls? basketball game in Burlington, but the host squad held off the Demons for a 25-23 win.
Alexi Evans scored 11 points to lead the Demons (0-3), while Lexi Redlinger and Michaela Roder both added four points. Bella Giardino and Brenna Weidman chipped in two points apiece.
Redlinger pulled down a team-high six rebounds, and Weidman grabbed four. Redlinger had three steals in the contest, with Evans and Giardino nabbing two apiece. Roder, Jessie Buchholz and Alexis Turner each had a steal.
The Washington eighth-grade girls? basketball team will travel to Keokuk on Tuesday in pursuit of its first win of the season.
