Washington falls to Keokuk in bowling

The Washington High School bowling teams faced off against Keokuk Saturday at Lebowski's Rock and Bowl.
The Demon boys team lost 2,845-1,866. The Demon girls lost 2,305-2,011.
For Washington's girls, Dawsen Schluetter bowled games of 120 and 154 for a 274 series. Katie Donnolly rolled 122-159 to total 281. Taylor Northup had a 152-104 - 256. Rylie Swart scored 110-141 - 251 and Taylor Janecek had a matching 145-145 for a 290. Those totals were 1,352.
Baker games were 153, 107, 136, 124, and 139 for a 659. Keokuk totals were 1,576 and 729 on Baker games.
For the Demon boys, Riley Lambert notched a 166-206 for a 372 series. Liam Eldridge went 81-144 - 225. Drake Schluetter tallied 167-150 - 317. Ethan Zieglowsky produced 188-159 - 347. Those series totaled 1,261. Baker games were 109, 108, 123, 151 and 114 for a 605 total.
Keokuk had a 1,933 and 912 on Baker games for a 2845 total. Washington had 1866.
The Demons bowl next when Fairfield comes to town Saturday.
The Washington girls and boys team will start the postseason Feb. 12 at May City Bowl in Cedar Rapids at 10 a.m. The boys team is in Class 1A District 7. The girls will be in Class 2A District 5 meet. Both teams will be at the same site for the state-qualifying meet.
