WASHINGTON — The Washington football team plays nine games in 2021. The Demons had seven wins against those squads one year prior.
Washington hopes the 2021 schedule looks similar to the 2020 campaign, which ended in an 8-1 season.
The 2021 Demon’s regular season schedule both starts and ends in the city of Burlington. Washington plays Burlington High School in Week 1, and they travel back to the city to play at West Burlington-Notre Dame in Week 9.
Washington renews its rivalry with Mt. Pleasant in Week 2, which is also the Demons’ first home game. They will be looking for their 11th win in a row against the rival Panthers.
Other home games for the Demons include a Week 4 matchup with Fort Madison, a Week 6 showdown against Solon and a Week 7 game against Keokuk, a team the Demons beat twice last season including once in the playoffs.
The first district game of the year will be in Week 5 at Grinnell. Washington will host just two district games this season.
