Washington girls back in the win column
WASHINGTON — The Washington girls basketball team had lost six-straight games leading into Friday night’s showdown with Burlington, but the Demons made sure that streak came to an end with a 50-35 victory.

Washington led 12-6 after one quarter, 23-16 at halftime and 41-22 after three periods.
The Demon girls had a lot tougher time the first time they played Burlington, as Washington had to stave off the Grayhounds 47-41 on the road earlier this year.
Washington is now 6-9 overall and 4-5 in the conference. The Demons play at Mid-Prairie on Monday night.
