Washington girls? basketball team loses to Sigourney
The Washington girls? basketball team traveled to Sigourney Monday, Dec. 12, and returned home with a 40-56 loss.
Sigourney took the lead after the first quarter by going up 16-8 and only allowing the Demons to score five in the second quarter while adding 18 of their own to go ahead 34-13 at the half.

The Washington girls? basketball team traveled to Sigourney Monday, Dec. 12, and returned home with a 40-56 loss.
Sigourney took the lead after the first quarter by going up 16-8 and only allowing the Demons to score five in the second quarter while adding 18 of their own to go ahead 34-13 at the half.
Both teams would score 12 in the third quarter and Washington would rally in the fourth putting up 15 to Sigourney?s 10, but it was too late for the Demons as Sigourney would hold on to get the win.
Sarah Nacos led the team in scoring with 22 points, six of which came from the 3-point zone, and had three steals. Isabel Bailey scored six points, had four rebounds, two assists, three steals and one block. Morgan Brinning scored four and had two assists.
Addison Six had three points, five rebounds and one block. Taylor Dicks scored three points and had five rebounds while Brooke Stout scored two points had three rebounds and one assist.
The girls next play Friday at Keokuk beginning at 6:15 p.m.
