Washington girls golf team in 5th place after first day of state meet
After the first day of playing in the state tournament, the Washington girls golf team ended in fifth place in Class 3A at Elmwood Country Club in Marshalltown.
Leading Washington is Sarah Nacos, who has shot at 78 (38 40). She is seven over par on the 18-hole course.
Allison Vogel shot a 101 (51 50), Megan Strabala had a 102 (50 52) and Emily Waite ended with a 111 (57 54).
Not included in the overall scoring ...

Not included in the overall scoring were Carly Burlingame with a 114 (57 57) and Kaitlyn Mitchell with a 148 (79 69).
Out of the individual players, Nacos is in first place in Class 3A, seven strokes ahead of Bella Amador-Lacson from Grinnell.
