?The girls are really excited about being conference champs,? said coach Leonard Kull.
?They continue to improve and now is the time to be playing at their best. ?Sarah, Carly and Megan have been playing at a really high-level for the last two to three weeks.?
For finishing in the top six, Nacos, Burlingame and Strabala became part of the first team All-Conference. Allison Vogel received an Honorable Mention.
While the next stop for the girls is the regionals meet, it?s not going to be easy.
?Our schedule continues to be a challenge,? Kull says.
?We will take part in the regionals at Gates Park in Waterloo Monday, May 22, along with 11 other teams.
?Our objective is to finish in first or second place and qualify for state.
?We are always doing something to improve or learn more about our game every day and as the girls continue, hopefully things will go well for us so we can attain our goals.?
Washington won the meet with a 359, Mt. Pleasant had a 383, Fairfield shot a 414 and Keokuk had a 496.
