The Demon shot an 18-hole round of 74 (36, 38) at Green Acres Country Club in Donnellson on Saturday and took meet medalist honors with the performance.

The impressive round helped the Demons win the meet, as they finished with a team score of 346, nine strokes ahead of Mt. Pleasant. Burlington had a 364 at the meet, while Fairfield had a 377.
Washington junior Deanna Peiffer had an 84 (42,42) at the meet, while senior Sarah Waite (47, 47) and junior Brenna Burlingame (49,45) each shot a 94 on the day.
?I was really impressed with Deanna Peiffer and Brenna Burlingame,? Kull said. ?They did a great job. Brenna shot the low round of her life with a 45 and looked good doing it.?
In the scratched varsity scores, Megan Strabala (54, 57) and Meredith Lumberg (56, 55) each shot a 111 for the Demons.
Washington competed in an all-day tournament on Monday, and will continue the season at Ottumwa on Thursday in a tournament that will begin at noon.
