Washington girls lose to Cedar Rapids Prairie
The Washington girls basketball team played in a road game at Cedar Rapids Prairie Saturday, Jan. 28, which resulted in a loss for the Demons, 35-57.
Washington started off the game by scoring 12 points in the first quarter while Prairie put up 19 to have a seven-point lead.
Prairie scored 10 more points in the second quarter while Washington added 11 putting the score at 23-29 Prairie at the half.

The Washington girls basketball team played in a road game at Cedar Rapids Prairie Saturday, Jan. 28, which resulted in a loss for the Demons, 35-57.
Washington started off the game by scoring 12 points in the first quarter while Prairie put up 19 to have a seven-point lead.
Prairie scored 10 more points in the second quarter while Washington added 11 putting the score at 23-29 Prairie at the half.
Returning to the court after the break, Prairie scored 16 points while holding Washington back to only put up six in the third quarter.
The Demons were only allowed to score six points in the fourth quarter while Prairie put up 12 more to get the win.
Brooke Stout was the lead scorer for Washington, having 12 points in the game along with six rebounds, two assists and one block.
Morgan Brinning scored seven points and had two rebounds, two assists and one steal.
Sarah Nacos also scored seven points in the game while having one steal.
Taylor Dicks scored five points and had two rebounds. Addison Six scored two points, had one rebound, two assists, one steal and one block. Kinsey Duwa scored two points and had four rebounds in the game.
