WASHINGTON — The Washington girls soccer team has been on roll here in the early season as they’re now winners of three straight since the beginning of the season.
On Monday night, the victory came against the Indians of Oskaloosa, 7-3.
The Demons put together a phenomenal first half which saw four balls find the back of the net.
Defensively they were just as good, giving up just one to the Indians to make it 4-1 at the half.
Washington scored two of the four within the first 20 minutes of action and when Oskaloosa cut it to one, the Demons added two more to create separation once again.
From then on out, they never let off the gas.
In the second half, the Demons continued to pile it on, scoring an additional three goals to solidify the win.
Oskaloosa scored two of their own in the second, but that’s all it could muster against the Washington defense.
Washington midfielder Giselle Marcelino led the Demons in the win, finishing with a four goals.
Angeline Anderson and Ruby Witthoft also scored as well.
